The Paradox of Meltdown

I came across this interesting incident about the current recession:

This Story is about a man who once upon a time was selling hotdogs by the roadside.

He was illiterate, so he never read newspapers.

He was hard of hearing, so he never listened to the radio.

His eyes were weak, so he never watched television.

But enthusiastically, he sold lots of hotdogs.

He was smart enough to offer some attractive schemes to increase his sales.

His sales and profit went up.

He ordered more a more raw material and buns and use to sale more.

He recruited a few more supporting staff to serve more customers.

He started offering home deliveries. Eventually he got himself a bigger and better stove.

As his business was growing, the son, who had recently graduated from college, joined his father.

Then something strange happened.

The son asked, "Dad, aren't you aware of the great recession that is coming our way?"

The father replied, "No, but tell me about it." The son said, "The international situation is terrible.

The domestic situation is even worse. We should be prepared for the coming bad times."

The man thought that since his son had been to college, read the papers, listened to the radio and watched TV, he ought to know and his advice should not be taken lightly.

So the next day onwards, the father cut down his raw material order and buns, took down the colourful signboard, removed all the special schemes he was offering to the customers and was no longer as enthusiastic.

He reduced his staff strength by giving layoffs.

Very soon, fewer and fewer people bothered to stop at his hotdog stand.

And his sales started coming down rapidly, same is the profit.

The father said to his son, "Son, you were right".

"We are in the middle of a recession and crisis. I am glad you warned me ahead of time."

Moral of The Story:
We actually FUEL this recession much more than we think we do!!!!!!

Recession - the great Meltdown is here, let's face it. It's time to accept it. And once you accept it, really it is not difficult to fight it....!

This site is for all those in the world who have accepted the great Recession facing the globe and want to fight this Universal Meltdown. You may be an individual,a corporate house, an institution or a group of socially responsible people. If you are willing to join hands in the fight for recession, you are invited to this site. I am not an Economist, nor have I written best seller Manuals on recession. But I am experienced in earning, spending and controlling finaces in different scenarios. My endeavour is to bring together seekers who want to sincerely overcome recession and those who are already fighting the crisis early, and in their own way. The two can benefit / learn from each other like no other can teach. Please share your experiences on how Recession has already affected you, and also how you propose to combat the evil. Even when wars are fought, the country which has superior equipment and intelligent strategies wins over. Similarly Recession can be won over with early acceptance of it, and truly facing the situation with intelligent strategies. This site is exactly for that purpose.....together we can achieve success and fight the great Meltdown. The last recession known to mankind was in the thirties. That was also fought by people, but they had no technology to assist them in this fight.

This is the site where we will endeavour to achieve financial freedom by sharing our strategies, ideas, experiences and real life instances of fighting the recession.
We will share how we can work to save, invest, donate, spend, manage mortgages, stocks, bonds, and acquire insight into clever investment strategies used by World's great investors like Warren Buffet.

May be we need to change our life style. our spending habits, our gifting budgets, our festival expenses, the travel styles, sharing a home, sharing a car, books, knowledge, and to completely avoid wasting anything. For truly it's the little bits of savings that build up huge and wealthy empires. We may have to give up our credit cards and live a life by budgeting daily, monthly and annual expenses. If we dont begin to seriously think on these lines, recession will beat us before we know what hit us. So let us wake up....! And accept that we have a Recession so we can begin to deal with it....!

The first lesson that I have learnt is from my husband. He may not have built a bottomless pit of wealth but he has made a sizeable fortune by sheer grit of his ability and acumen to save and invest when an opportunity presented itself. By virtue of having watched him 24 x 7 for over 25 years, I can safely claim that I am aware of each step taken by him which suceeded in a big way or otherwise. I would like to share those steps with my readers and members who have joined this site to exchange views on the current Recession Forum:

Here comes the first BIG STEP THAT IS SURE FIGHTER of RECESSION:
